Front Entrance, Spa, and Landscape

As mentioned in the previous post, they continue to add landscaping - and, thanks to the season and Ubud climate, it continues to grow in rapidly.
Here's a new-and-improved view of the front entrance.
Construction has begun on the Spa. Again, please use your imagination. You have just entered the room for your massage, and this is the view you see!
Mt. Agung decided to be completely visible this morning, so I took a new photo.
And here are some of our ""neighbors", relaxing, enjoying the view, or just playing.

Massage, Balinese Dance, Yellow Butterfly, Flooding Rice Fields

The brochure is at the printer's! Here is a preview of new photos they added.

And now, more photos of the environment.

I'll continue to share beautiful butterflies as I get their photos. This one posed for me on the pergola over the front entrance - so I was shooting up into the sky, literally! And that explains the transparency of the wings.

The rice fields, being flooded prior to planting. If you look closely, you can see how the upper fields flood the lower fields through tiny waterfalls.

Massage in Bali

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a 3-hour massage treatment? For less than $50 usd?
It's pure bliss!
In June I had a 3-hour Boreh massage. It started with a foot bath and mini-pedicure. I sat on the side of the massage table, feet dangling into the foot bath, while the masseuse briskly yet gently sloughed dead skin and massaged my lower legs.
Next I lay down on the table, with my face over a bowl of warm water with flower petals and herbs - smelled heavenly. I got a traditional massage (similar to Swedish) for about an hour.
Then came the Boreh treatment. It's a body scrub / wrap consisting of mace (the outer part of nutmeg) and granulated rice. After application, when you roll onto your back and are covered with a towel, it rapidly warms up. Not too hot - just perfect for relaxing any muscles that are still tight after the massage.
To remove the Boreh scrub, I left the massage table to step into a warm floral bath - more heavenly scented flower petals.
Then a quick shower and shampoo, and back to the massage table - this time for my facial. Very gentle and yet very thorough - and my masseuse even tweezed my eyebrows into better shape for me!
Ah, this is the kind of treatment I could get used to - I can't even describe how relaxed I felt afterwards.

Have you had a great massage recently?
