Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a 3-hour massage treatment? For less than $50 usd?
It's pure bliss!
In June I had a 3-hour Boreh massage. It started with a foot bath and mini-pedicure. I sat on the side of the massage table, feet dangling into the foot bath, while the masseuse briskly yet gently sloughed dead skin and massaged my lower legs.
Next I lay down on the table, with my face over a bowl of warm water with flower petals and herbs - smelled heavenly. I got a traditional massage (similar to Swedish) for about an hour.
Then came the Boreh treatment. It's a body scrub / wrap consisting of mace (the outer part of nutmeg) and granulated rice. After application, when you roll onto your back and are covered with a towel, it rapidly warms up. Not too hot - just perfect for relaxing any muscles that are still tight after the massage.
To remove the Boreh scrub, I left the massage table to step into a warm floral bath - more heavenly scented flower petals.
Then a quick shower and shampoo, and back to the massage table - this time for my facial. Very gentle and yet very thorough - and my masseuse even tweezed my eyebrows into better shape for me!
Ah, this is the kind of treatment I could get used to - I can't even describe how relaxed I felt afterwards.
Have you had a great massage recently?
